Alpaca fiber is an excellent natural nesting material for birds. It's cozy and warm in the winter, as well as soft and comfortable for baby birds! The fiber naturally repels water and dries quickly.
You can use it to fill grapevines or suet cages for your nesting project and hang it near a birdhouse or feeder. The fiber is unwashed and comes in various lengths, colors, and textures. You may notice small bits of debris like hay or sawdust mixed in with it.
